Sweet
Biscuit Inn is centrally located in the beautiful
old neighborhood of Kenilworth, which is between
downtown Asheville and Biltmore Village. We are a 1/2
mile from Biltmore Village and the Biltmore Estate
entrance, the area's most visited attraction.
The main Inn measures
almost 7000 square feet with 7 guest rooms; 3 queen
rooms are on the main floor, 3 queen rooms and 1 suite
are on the second floor and there is a two bedroom
owner's quarters on the top floor. The main floor
includes a grand entry foyer with a sweeping wide
staircase, and 11 foot ceilings are throughout the
house. Tiger oak floors are in the extra large
dining room which can seat up to 22 people. There is a
spacious "cook's kitchen" with original heart
of pine floors and plenty of oak cabinetry throughout.
Also included are black and stainless steel appliances,
including a downdraft Jenn-Air gas range and oven.
This 1915 Colonial
Revival home began renovation into a Bed and
Breakfast in 1999, by the current owners. Updating has
continued throughout the years, to its present
meticulous condition. The Inn has been designed to enjoy
living and working in it. There are two laundry areas,
one upstairs and one downstairs for ease in your Inn
keeping. There is a full basement with workshops and
multiple rooms for seasonal storage.
Enjoy our beautifully
landscaped gardens, full of hundred year old grand oaks
and flowering redbuds, dogwoods and evergreens.
Perennial sun and shade gardens encircle the 2/3 acre
property. This yard is virtually maintenance free with
only mulch and water added as needed! There are several
garden destinations including a small ornamental
fish pond and a large wooden play structure, ideal for
visiting families. One of the most relaxing spots at the
Sweet Biscuit Inn is our house wide front porch which
oversees the beautiful lawn and neighborhood passing by.
