Meet Bland Holland:

I grew up in West Texas and obtained my degree in Real Estate Finance in 1984. After several years in residential real estate in Austin, Texas, and later in La Jolla, California, I decided on a career change, and headed back to school in Dallas to learn about the travel industry and computerized reservation systems. 

After a two-year run in the Cruise Travel Agency business, I decided hospitality better suited my personality. I purchased my first Bed and Breakfast in 1995, near St. Augustine, Fla., which gave me great insight into what a “start up Inn” was all about!  After five successful years of business and having the Inn featured by the Minute Maid Company in its 1997-1998 advertising campaign, I sold the property, which is still in operation today. 

Moving back to Austin, I quickly worked my way up the ladder with the Dolcé Hospitality group, which operated the Lakeway Inn and Spa. After two years as the Reservations/Revenue manager, I was called to my favorite vacation spot, the mountains of Western North Carolina. I met Jake and Marge Michel, who had created and owned the incredible Richmond Hill Inn in Asheville. I took the position as Director of Guest Services and eventually took over the management of this prestigious AAA Four Diamond, Mobile Four Star property. 

After five and a half years at Richmond Hill, I joined the Mundens in 2006, at North Carolina Inn Brokers, helping others find the dream of Inn ownership or helping sellers move on the their next stage of life.
